About API

Associated Plastics of Ireland Ltd., located in Clara, Co. Offaly, was formed in 1981 to produce PVC compounds for the plastics extrusion & moulding industries.

The production area, which covers ~25,000 square feet, is supported by extensive warehousing and bulk storage facilities.

The process equipment is highly automated utilising computer/PLC control for the weighing and compounding processes.

Material handling, mixing and compounding equipment is of German/Swiss origin.

Mixing of the raw materials is accomplished on Herfeld and Papenmeier high-speed mixers, and downstream Buss Ko-Kneaders complete the compounding process.

Our Research and Development Laboratories are extensively equipped and include a complete pilot line to provide necessary support to the Technical and Development Departments.
